I would like to take this opportunity to introduces myself. I have recently (around April) moved from Uttoxeter to become your local Police Community Support Officer based here at Abbots Bromley. For the last fours years I was based on the town centre but as a position became available in Abbots Bromley I took the opportunity and look forward to different challenges ahead and working with community.

Caring for Creation Holiday Club - 30th August 2011

Holiday Club for children and young people.
30th August-1st September 9.30am-12.30pm
2nd September 9.30am-3pm
All Saints Church, Church Leigh
Parents welcome from 11am Wednesday to the Fairtrade Cafe
Parents also welcome from 12.30pm Friday for Ploughman`s Lunch and Film Show.
4-9 year olds (20 children)
10-16 year olds (20 young people)
Pre-registration required.
Forms can be obtained from Leigh Post Office/Shop.

Leigh Produce Show Bank Holiday Monday

This Bank Holiday Monday
27th Annual Produce Show - 29th August 2011.
Leigh Produce Show is open to Leigh Parish residents only.
Show schedules are available from The Post Office/Shop or by contacting Clive or Jill 01889 502440.
Viewing from 2pm in the Village Hall.
There will also be a Plant Stall, Cake Stall, Novelty Stall and Raffle, also superb refreshments will be served in the Village Hall.
If any individual person or business based within Leigh Parish would like to sponsor a Class in the Produce Show for 2012, please contact Clive or Jill on 01889 502440 for details.

Friday 7.30pm - Praise and worship with DTG including Guest Speaker Mikel Wilson
Saturday from 11.oopm - Cafe, Fun and games for all the family including Tuck Shop and BBQ with visiting Guest Speaker Vince Williams, early evening
Sunday from 11.00an - (Morning Service) with Cafe, Tuck Shop and afternoon activities for the children leading on to 6.00pm Praise and Worship service with Vince Williams (both services)

Leigh Postoffice break-in

Leigh postoffice was broken into on the early hours sunday morning at around 4am.

If anyone has seen anything or anyone suspicious in Leigh in the last few days or weeks or has any information that may be of importance  please contact the police as soon as possible.

Burglaries

WARNING to all residents of Leigh.
Please make sure that your possessions are safe and secure. The thieves are still about, just heard that they`ve been helping themselves again. This time it`s a lawnmower.
Even if you are in your house make sure the doors are locked, they have been known to just walk in while you`re about.
If you see ANYTHING suspicious, please report it to the police.
