Tea with Rose

We have all been affected by Cancer in some way, either had it or know someone who has.  Research is making headway and what used to be a life sentence is now being cured, slowed or halted and money is always needed to keep the work in progress.
A progressive fund raiser, called "Tea with Rose" in memory of Rosemarie Ratcliffe, who was always helping others, has now been running for 2 years.
Once a month someone holds a get together; it can be a coffee morning with biscuits, afternoon tea with cakes or an evening drink with nibbles, (hostess`s choice) and is £2 per person.
For example: 10 friends @ £2 each = £20
£20 per month = £240 per year
The hostess makes her own rules; weekdays or weekends, morning, afternonn or evening.
Times 10am - Noon, 2pm - 4pm, 3pm - 5pm, 6pm - 8pm, whichever suits the hostess.
Details are published in the Parish Magazine.
It is not a competion of who does bigger and better, it`s about everyone being able to do their bit to help the bigger picture.  Only the yearly total is published in the Parish Magazine so that everyone can see what our village is doing to help STOP CANCER.
If anyone would like to host a Tea with Rose event, please contact:
Christine Dickin on 01889 589252

"Your Support will make a difference"
